Entrepreneurialism
Get People to Know, Like and Trust You and Your Business
People are born every day; they need to eat, have a roof over their heads, clothe themselves, move around and live. These fundamentals have not changed. Yes, people are not eating in restaurants as often, they are choosing to keep their cars for a little longer and buying their clothes from budget stores because of the credit crunch, but fundamentally there are still opportunities available for those entrepreneurs that are willing to search a little deeper and use their creative mind to see all the great opportunities that abound.
In our world, there is always someone that needs to buy something and someone willing to sell something that will satisfy that need. Look around the room you are sitting in right now, everything that is filling your space right now is something that you bought to satisfy a need you had in the past. The company or individual that influenced and persuaded you appropriately now has a trophy to illustrate their victory filling your space. They won the battle, to get you to trade your hard earned cash for their product.
We know that people still have needs, they are still buying things to satisfy these needs and we want to build a thriving business that will help us to achieve our vision to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. So how do we ensure that our business is the one that will have its products chosen, to satisfy these needs? How do we ensure that it is our trophies of success, which will be displayed in these people lives?
Once you have identified a need within your target market, you have something in your product arsenal that will easily satisfy that need, the tough part is then to encourage people to choose your product or service over that of anyone else’s. This is where the ability to connect with people on a level where they can get to know, like and trust you and your products and services becomes crucial. It is far easier to persuade someone that your market offering is the best possible solution to satisfy their needs if you have developed connection with them and they know like and trust what you have to offer.
We know that there is most certainly still business out there; we have products that can meet the needs of our prospective clients and that they buy from businesses they can connect with and can persuade them to see the real value they offer. The question now is, how do I get my message out there amongst all the noise that surrounds me, so that I can persuade and influence people that what I offer is the best option for them?
The challenge faced by all businesses is that there are legions of businesses and individuals all around that are attempting to influence people’s decisions every day. We are surrounded by Radio and TV commercials all day, our phones ring incessantly with people trying to sell us something, there are billboards and bus shelters, screaming messages at us all the time, our email is filled with so much junk we are overwhelmed. There are solicitations going on all around us all the time, so how do I get my business to stand out above the clutter and noise that incessantly invades my world?
Research has shown that we are bombarded with around 30 000 messages a day, from people and businesses that are attempting to persuade and influence us. If you want your products and services to stand out from the crowd, you must invest sufficient time and energy into becoming a champion of influence. The only way to begin and sustain the journey through the sea of noise is to become positively influential and persuasive yourself.
The secret to success is not found by trying to shout louder than everyone else out there. The secret is to move away from the crowd and the noise and to begin the process of building connection with the right people, in the right place at the right time. This is a case of going back to basics and instead of trying to spray your message out into the world and sitting back and praying that someone will hear it and miraculously get to know like and trust what you have to offer. You must clearly define who your target clients are, find out where you can connect with them so that you can begin to build connection and trust with them.
These changing times, where we have so much going on around us all the time, has forced us to take a step back and to change the way we market our businesses. People have not changed, they still choose to buy from businesses they know, like and trust and can offer them the best opportunity to get maximum value. It is time to stop shouting and wasting energy, commit to begin the process of communicating, connecting and influencing people so that they can easily see that what you have to offer is what they need.

Do you love teaching? If so, consider holding educational seminars or online webinars. Do you spend every evening working on your antique cars? If so, maybe you could turn that passion into a business where you fix up vehicles and flip them. Love working on the computer and being on social media? Perhaps you could start a company that helps others improve their online presence through social media. There are numerous opportunities for you to turn your passions into a career that fulfills you.
Do your research.
If you have a hobby that you are thinking about turning into a business, the first thing you will need to do is research the market to see if people will be interested in purchasing your product or service. Check to see if there is a demand in the marketplace for the type of business you are creating. After checking the demand, verify to see if there are already successful businesses in that niche and if so, take some time to research them. The Internet has tons of information in this area, so be sure to take advantage of it.

Don’t quit your day job.
Beginning your own business can be risky when it comes to finances, so it is advisable that you begin part-time and don’t quit your day job until you are positive that your income from your business is stable and sufficient. It may take some time to market and get your business booming, so don’t become discouraged if things don’t take off right away.
Educate yourself.
Being an entrepreneur can be very rewarding.
